About me

Hi, I'm Joseph Brunet, a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in biomedical at University College London, based at European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF).

I am part of an international team which uses a new imaging technique called Hierarchical Phase contrast Computed Tomography (HiP-CT) to image whole human organs down to cellular level. This was enabled by the recent upgrade to the ESRF in Grenoble. We recently made fondamental discoveries in the mechanicsms behind COVID-19 effect on lung vasculature.

Curriculum vitae

I'm a curious mind, always looking for new experiences and problems to solve. This has led me to explore different fields like mechanics, biology or imaging, and combined them to open perspectives on the development of personalised diagnostic tools for patients.
